My Hero Came for a Visit
Not many people will ever call their mother-in-law a hero. However, mine is. She is one of my hero's in the faith. I was sharing with a group of men in a restaurant this morning about her and tears came to my eyes as I talked about this 75 pound woman who stands about 4 foot 10. She has spoken to me and displayed her faith in God throughout the years I have known her. Many times she has found herself on the battlefield of life facing her Goliath. She has been victorious every time because of her faith and trust in God. Life hasn't been easy for her but I have never heard her complain. She is always giving glory to God and spreading His love to others. She is in town with my sister-in-law visiting the family and enjoying her new great-granddaughter. Momita isn't getting around with the usual bounce in her step as she approaches her 88th birthday. A concern to us all. When Paul was sending Epaphroditus home in the book of Philippians, chapter 2, he made this comment concerning this man. He's my bother, fellow worker and fellow soldier. When he comes home welcome him in the Lord and honor men like him. My mother-in-law is like this man. A sister, fellow worker and fellow soldier who is always welcomed in my home because I definitely honor people like her. Thank you Momita for always displaying your love, faith and trust in the Lord you love so much, and thank you Lord for allowing this giant in the faith to come into my life.
